Wiring the relationship/Knotted by wire

It was about an year ago when IWCL, a big wire manufacturing company at Indore and India's biggest wire manufacturing giant TATA STEEL WIRE DIVISION started a business relationship through External Processing Activity Arrangement. On 14th September 2004 this relationship was redefined when TATA STEEL WIRE DIVISION started their first step through "SYNERGY" meet. This was targeted towards complementing the strength and weakness of both the companies so as to optimise the efforts by working hand in hand with each other. A team from TATA Steel Wire Division comprising of Mr.A.V.Shah, Mr.R.T.Gogia, Mr.G.S.Keshwani and Mr.Sushil Pednekar with a consultant Mr.Mohit Sharma, called for a meeting with IWCL employees which included the workmen, officers and senior management. The meeting started with introduction of the people and then Mr. A.V.Shah and Mr.R.T.Gogia threw some light on the agenda of the "SYNERGY" meet. Mr.Sushil Pednekar gave his presentation of plant statistics w.r.t. the performance trends. Mr.Keshwani gave presentation on Quality Management covering the topic field of Quality Assurance, Control and Problem Solving Techniques. Mr.Mohit elaborated on the subject 'Synergy' and 'Change Management'. This was followed by queries and suggestions from employees of IWCL. There were discussions on technical subjects and soft issues also with the greatest emphasis on "Ownership of the Problem" which was elaborated by Mr.R.T.Gogia and Mr.Keshwani with examples.

At the end of the meeting one could see the eyes of everyone enlightened with the fact that the relationship which earlier used to be professional was now getting restructured for a common improvement goal to achieve "SYNERGY".
