The Karate Kid

The charming Arjun Iyer, son of Ms. Priyadarshini Anand, of the Financial Analyst Cell has proved to be a formidable trailblazer of sorts. Being handpicked to represent India in Inter Continental Karate Tournaments to be held in Hungary from 12th to 15th July this year is a sparkling feather in his cap.
His consistently good performances have earned him a coveted sponsorship for advanced training at European Shotokan Academy in 2007. All of eight, Arjun, a dedicated student of Shotokan Academy of India since the last two years, is a blue belt holder.
Lets raise a toast to Arjun as he journeys on to Hungary. May he rise and shine and earn his stripes for India. Here's wishing the dude every success in the future.

The Wizard of Math

If you believe that solving complex mathematical problems is difficult, then think again. Eight-year-old Master Vaishakh Varma, son of Mr. B.K. Varma, Manager Supply Chain is one smart kid who can solve complex problems within seconds.
Vaishakh who represented Maharashtra was declared “ACHIEVER” by the world renowned Brainobrain Abacus Institute in the National Fest 2006 that was held at Chennai and was attended by more than 3500 students from all over the country. The Advanced Abacus and Personality Development training is a 10-level program and Vaishakh has successfully completed the 2ndlevel with 100% accuracy.
We congratulate Vaishakh on his wonderful performance and wish him greater success in all his future assignments.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood, the river of life coursing through our bodies, is most sought after by the ailing multitude in India. It is a well-known fact that the demand for blood far outstrips supply. Voluntary donors satisfy most of the requirements for blood.
When the Lions Club Of Tarapur joined hands with Tata Steel and Euro Foundation to conduct a Blood Donation Camp on 25th November at TMRCT Hospital, there was an overwhelming response from volunteers from TWP, WRM and other shared services. It is a remarkable achievement, in line with the Tata Steel ethos of serving our community, that forty out of the seventy-nine bottles were collected from Tata Steel.
Each of the donors was felicitated with a certificate and a wristwatch.
