Distributer meet at Pattaya
The year just gone by was historic in terms of forging our relationship with the distributors of Wiron. The Wire Division had the first-ever overseas Distributor Meet at Pattaya, Bangkok during 23-26 Feb 2008.
The enthusiasm was writ large on the faces of our distributors and own colleagues on arrival at Suvarnabhami, Bangkok despite flights running late and the two hour journey to Pattaya by road ahead of them. The traditional Thai welcome reminded us of our cultural connect spanning centuries.
Exhaustion left behind and with the resurgent mood of the world-famous sea resort that Pattaya is, the next three days ticked with team activities full of fun, adventure and late night strolls along you –know-what.
The day of conference was 25th Feb; our VP (Long) and EIC graced the occasion and the exchange of ideas and dreams got dabbled with learning from the past.VP (Long) wished that Wire Division would become “solution” provider and not restrict itself to manufacture and sale of wires.
That evening saw some swirling traditional Indian attire partying in the sea-front courtyard hotel Siam Bayshore and exquisite Thai food. . The sea-food lovers had a gala time too!
The distributors who were specially recognized that evening are : M/S VNC(for excellence in human resource),M/S Ambica( for excellence in branding),M/S Modern(for excellence in consistent lifting),M/S Jaypee (rummers-up in overall) and M/S Maheswari(best in overall) .
The memory is now sepia-tinted and the resolve is not. After all, a cell-phone left behind in the bus in Pattaya by Mr. Jadish Mehta of M/S Laxmi, our distributor in Mumbai, was returned to him the other day! We are proud to be in extended Tata family and it shows.
